Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

MFA adds an extra layer of security when you log in. This keeps your information safe, even if your password falls into the wrong hands. You can set up MFA using an authenticator app or via email.

1. Set up MFA with an authenticator app

Use an app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

  1. Install Google Authenticator from the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS).

  2. Log in to Prostream. Prostream will immediately display a QR code.

  3. Open the authenticator app and tap +.

  4. Select "Work or school account" in the Authenticator app.

  5. Scan the QR code.

  6. Enter the code from the app at Prostream and click Verify.

⚠️ Note: After setup, Prostream will display 10 recovery codes once. Write these down in a safe place—you won’t be able to retrieve them later.

💡 Tip: Are you using your own computer? Then select “Remember for 30 days.” That way, you won’t have to enter a code every time.

2. Set up MFA via email

  1. When setting up MFA, choose Email instead of the Authenticator App.

  2. Enter your email address and click “Send a one-time code.”

  3. Paste the code from your inbox into “Prostream.”

  4. Write down the 10 recovery codes in a safe place.

  5. Click "Done."
