Roles within Prostream

1. Administrator

An administrator can perform the following actions:

  1. Invite users

  2. Create and manage groups

  3. Create metadata templates

  4. Create metadata fields

  5. Set metadata for a folder

  6. Create main folders

  7. Set permissions

  8. Manage notifications

  9. Managing the Recycle Bin

  10. Manage tasks

  11. Create projects (organization administrators only)

By default, administrators can view all folders, unless a folder was created by another administrator. In that case, that administrator must grant access permissions to that folder. This allows folders to be restricted from other administrators if necessary.

2. User

Users can only perform the actions for which they have been granted permissions. They can also only view folders to which they have access.

💡 Tip: You can be a user at the organizational level and still be an administrator within a project. The role applies per level.
