With ZIP upload, you can add multiple documents and folders at once by selecting a .zip file. Prostream uploads the ZIP file, extracts it on the server, and adds the contents to a new folder.

1. When should you use ZIP upload?
Use ZIP upload if you:
Want to upload many files at once.
Want to preserve a folder structure with files.
Want to move an existing set of documents to Prostream without manually creating folders or uploading files one by one.
2. Uploading a ZIP file
Go to your organization or project where you want to upload the contents of the ZIP file.
Go to Files
Go to Folders
Click the three dots β¦
Select "Upload ZIP."
Select a ZIP file (
.zip) from your computer.Create the folder where the contents will be uploaded.
Prostream Upload the ZIP file and view the progress.
After uploading, Prostream will extract the file and display the extraction progress.
The extracted files and folders will appear in the newly created folder.
π‘ Tip: Folders from the ZIP file will be recreated if they contain files. Empty folders will not be created.
3. Important to Know
The maximum file size for a ZIP upload is 2 GB.
For ZIP files larger than 700 MB, an additional confirmation prompt will appear before uploading.
Only
.zipfiles are supported. The original ZIP file itself is not added as a document; only its contents are included.
The upload progress is displayed in two steps: first during the upload, then during extraction on the server.
Extraction occurs in the background. For large files, it may take a while before everything is available.
You need permission to create both documents and folders at the destination location.
β οΈ Note: A ZIP file may be rejected if it is too large, is not a valid ZIP file, cannot be extracted, contains invalid file or folder names, or contains prohibited folder names.
