Project Metadata Template
Here's how to create project metadata templates. You can only use these templates within this project.
Written By Rico van der Stelt
1. Create a metadata template
In your project, go to Templates.
Select Metadata Templates.
Click Create template.
On the left side, you’ll find all the standard metadata fields and reusable metadata fields that have been created for your organization.
On the right side, you’ll find the template.
Drag the desired fields onto the template.
Click Save and Publish.
💡 Tip: If you drag the fields into a specific order, they’ll appear in that same order in the document overview.
💡 Tip: If you choose “Save as Draft,” the template will remain visible only to you until you publish it.
2. Add a non-reusable field
Forgot a field? Click Add New Metadata Field.
⚠️ Note: This is a non-reusable field. It cannot be used in other templates. If the field is removed from the template, it’s gone for good.
3. Removing fields from the template
Click the trash can icon next to the field in your template.
The field will be removed from the template.
⚠️ Note: Is this a non-reusable field? If so, it will be permanently deleted.
4. Making fields required
Required fields must be filled out when uploading documents.
Click the toggle next to “Required” to make the field required.
